Looking to get a Radar/Laser detector. I live in Colorado. I believe i read there are not any laws against the use of Radar Detectors. i know different states use different styles of detectors, so what does colorado use, and what would be a good brand/model to use? Thank you!

Is there software that tells you where things using up a lot of memory are on your drive?

Got a slave drive to make a back up on. I backed up all the folders under Users, such as Documents, Pictures, Music, Movies, Games. And then deleted all their contents. But my main drive still shows 167 GB free of 288 GB. I already deleted everything I know of, WTF? The Windows System folder and Program files are roughly 25GB. Still that doesn't explain why half of my drive has its disk space used up. I don't know what's using up the rest of the disk space. How can I find out?

Recently there has been a lot of death around me. Since then every show that comes on tv has some to do with death in it or all the songs I hear have to do with death. A couple days a go I went out with my family and all of a sudden we drive by the cemetery my sisters friend was buried at then the next day we go to my brother football game and my dad goes a different way which happens to be pass the place his friend was killed at then one of his friends that was killed in a car accident on April the 28 and was buried at the same cemetery as my great grandma I keep seeing that 28 number everywhere. All of a sudden I was walking past my sisters room and she had her friends obituary hanging up and she died on the 29 of June in a car accident then last Saturday we go to bmore and while there we pass to cars with in loving memory banners on there car. When I'm out all I see is funeral homes and different things pertaining to death. What is wrong with me are the signs my time is coming I'm only 18 and this will not leave me alone I'm so scared I have been having panic and anxiety attacks back to back.

Do craniotomy screws show on metal detectors at cruise ship ports?

My son had a TBI (traumatic Brain Injury) 2 years ago. They performed a craniotomy (removed a portion of his skull and replaced it with screws 7 weeks later-once the swelling had subsided). We are going on a cruise in October. I was wondering if the metal detectors at the port will detect the hardware and if so do I need to get some paperwork from his physician for this? I have an artificial knee and a cage in my back from spinal fusion. Normal detectors do not detect either, but the scanners at airports do detect my artificial knee, I have a card from my orthopedic surgeon that I carry. Since we aren't flying, I don't have to worry about the airport scanners/metal detectors. Any info would be appreciated.

I was in a car crash on Memorial Day of 2009 with my two friends Victor and Fredi. Fredi made an illegal U-turn into a driveway, and failed to use a turn signal. I have always felt guilt about this incident, even though I wasn't the one driving the car. I have always thought,"If I hadn't asked them to give me a ride, this would have never happened." and things like that. Well, I was browsing through old issues of the newspaper and I found the article covering this, which linked me to the man's obituary-life story-funeral page (I don't know what it's called :P). I sub in the school system in a city in NC and the month of June,July and August now it's pay put sometimes late. Now the problems that I have is even when th rent is paid on time things that she knows need to be done has not and and it seems all she want is the rent. My kids and I have no smoke detector, the deck and the steps leading out of the back doors are very bad and unsafe, the roof on the house is so bad the we have water spots on the ceiling in the baths-master bedroom and in the kitchen. No gutter on the back of the house and the one on the front is very lose on the left side on the house. The house came with central air and heat but never worked, the dish washer work but leaks water so bad that we don't use it. There are sockets throughout the house that does not work. She put a window unit in the window in the front part of the house but this is a three bedroom and a 1 bath and 1/2 and it has not been serviced since it was put in about 4 years ago and I just replaced the ceiling fan in the master bedroom after about 4 years and my daughter and I have asthma. Now you may say why are you still there but the way the economic is I just can't afford to move I just keeping my head above water with a 24 and 20 year old kids in college. What can I do or better yet can I do anything about this. Because if she does tells us that we have to move out we have NO PLACE TO GO. We need help. can you help us?

Folders disappearing and reappearing?

Ok so this has happened to quite a few of folders today the appear then disappear randomly. One example of this is i have a folder in my My Videos section called "clips" i could not find it so i turned my laptop off and on and it still wasn't there so i gave up looking and turned it off. I then went back later and it was there ! The other example what is quite alot more important is a hidden folder i have on my desktop the only way to find it is by highlighting it or turning "show hidden folders" on; i have done this and highlighted the whole desktop as well and still cannot find it. This is a really important folder as well as it has personal statements to with my bank and money in there. It is not in my recycling box either so i do not know where it could be and i know for sure it is still on my laptop.

If I download a torrent file on my Mac, after I drag it to iTunes can I delete it out of Downloads?

I have downloaded some CDs and used torrent software to open it. It looks like it downloads into the "Downloads" folder and so I just dragged that folder to iTunes and it plays fine. Question is: did the file save in my "Music" folder? And therefore I can delete it out of "Downloads"? I'm trying to avoid having double copies, but brand new to Mac and not positive how it works. So I used to get these emails and I'd read them. I always knew they were scams obviously. The person would have horrid typing/spelling and they'd all be pity stories. They'd be in my spam or inbox folders. How do people think they're helping a person in need when they're helping a con artist. Hello, I just bought a 4GB Phillips GoGear Vibe, and when I got it, I could not wait to watch videos on the go for long car rides (even if it does have a tiny screen, I can get used to it) but I can't seem to put it on by dragging the MP4 file (the type you need) to the video folder on the Mp3. So I used Phillips Songbird, the program that comes in, then I placed a short video I wanted to test it out into the media manager, and now I could watch about a couple of seconds. Then Iooked online to find out you need a CD that is SUPPOSED to come with it, but I did not recieve one with the player! Why did my dog do this when she died?

This incident happened over 10 years ago but it has been on my mind forever and i want to know from others what to think of it. I loved my old pet Scamper, her life is done today and i miss her dearly, but the night she died over 10 years ago she did something i to this day do not know why she did. The night that she died, we knew she wasn't well because the vet said that she would pass soon, the night that she passed she came to my bedroom door and lied down and died. She was an old mix (small-medium size) who i raised from puppyhood, her life was one of rich memory and many incidents, from car accidents, to being sprayed with a skunk to even protecting us. I don't want to make this into a long obituary about my pets life, but i loved her dearly and i would like to get closure. Do you think she did this because she wanted to be close by? Did she do this for a reason? I've heard dogs go away to die so it seemed odd that she came close. Also in her life she never chewed, bite or barked but that night she chewed through her leash and came upstairs and lied down by my bedroom door and died... Do dogs actually think? Its been bugging me as this would seem to take thinking, and also do dogs know when they are going to die? Am I overreacting to the term "Special Friend"?

I've been dating a man exclusively for 7 months, and he's referred to me as his "girlfriend" on several occassions. The other night, we met a new person, (who I felt was hitting on me), and I ran over to my date, so this guy would KNOW I was with someone. He followed me, and said to my date, "is this your wife?" The man I'm seeing is kind of deaf, and said "what?", while I was saying, "no, girlfriend". The man said "I was asking if she's your wife", and my date said, "no, she's my special friend", and launched into a story about how we're both divorced, etc. I was terribly offended by BOTH being called a "special friend" and by his telling my divorce story. I don't tell that story to everyone, and not upon our first introduction. Is this an age thing? I'm in my late 40's, and the man I'm seeing is 10 years older. I told him I think "special friend" is a term describing an 80 year old's platonic friend in their obituary.....Am I overreacting?

lately my dad has been unusually aggressive he does not abuse any1 or anything, but he just rages very often and whenever me or my bro step out of line even unintentunaly he rages badly, and confiscates our equipment. yesterday he confiscated my mobile b/c i tripped and dropped a few papers he wanted. what had happened was he called me from outside about 6 inc out of the house and asked me to get a few papers from his briefcase i got them for him and steeped outside, but i did not have my shoe on so i could not go passed the yard. he was in the car just outside and on the phone i w8ed till he finished and said "dad i don't have my shoe on atm mind stepping out of ur car and taking the paper" he raged a bit (tbh i don't blame him) and asked me to go put on my shoe and come out, and i did but on the way i tripped and fell with the papers in my hand i quickly piled them back up and gave them to him (he ofc saw the papers falling) the papers where perfectly fine all that had happened was there was a bit of dust on the folder. he went into an all caps rage and confiscated everything including my phone the annoying thing is that it is the only phone in the house with my numbers i tried transfusing them but it will just take to long i have about 350 numbers in there and the thing that actually ticks me off is that he knows i can't go more than a day without my phone i don't text or anything but i generally get a lot of urgent calls from my friends my phone is also usually on silent so it does not disturb him and i payed for it as well 100% so yea im not rly sure what to do. i tryed talking to him but every time i did he just confiscated it for a longer period of time. im thinking of swiping his visa card as soon as he gets home (in-front of him ofc) and going to the nearest atm and jacking the phones money and putting it in my bank account and as soon as i get home ill tell him to keep the damn phone i don't want it anymore this is the exact 7th time he's confiscated my phone and in all previous 6 times ive missed out on a lot and he knows it.

Well, something happened to my computer. It blue screened on me. And when I booted it back up. All of my files and folders were missing. See now. Years ago I once tried to convince my girlfriend that I was not lying and that I was a good person. Then she threw me curve ball at me, the whole nobody like's you line. Will the airport security metal detector go off if i have a dip can in my bag?

When a metal detector goes off, it's the one that people go through, so if you don't have the dip can with you yourself or any other metallic items, nothing will go off. Your carry on bags should be put on a conveyor belt at security point and they go through an x-ray scanner. You're allowed to pack certain items that are metal in your bags, ie anything not sharp or can be turned into a weapon. Should your can be found to be a form of weapon, the security officer would confiscate it, but still the scanner will not go off with a beep.

I just had to take a few days off of school because my Uncle passed away and I wanted to see him before he went on to the other side. I notified all of my professors and all of them cleared me except for one who requested documentation. Why is her death vague and hard to find?

my relative committed suicide in 1993 when she was 20 years old. I know her name,year of birth and death,all her direct family members names,and that there is a scholarship named after her. I went to find her obituary all I found was her social security number. for some reason her record are a bit shady and her ssn is the only thing to be found. And for some reason when I look up her name on the social security death index the other 2 people with her name have something called 'last address of record' hers is blank. HELP! where do music files go on your computer after downloading them?

I've been downloading newer songs off this website called Hulk Share. everything works, the song always plays, and then it shows up in my itunes. then like a half hour later an exclamation point appears next to it when i try to play the song and then it says the file cannot be located. i am getting really frustrated!!! and then when i try to find it it sends me somewhere weird with a whole bunch of pointless files and letters and numbers. i dont know where these files are disappearing to, but its pissing me off. and if this is any help, when the song is downloading, it says it is going to a temporary folder, whatever that means. any suggestions would be helpful! thanks!

When I press F4 a small toolbar appears along the left hand side. There, I can click the "bookmarks" button and customize bookmarks (eg put them into folders etc). Now, the file extension of the folders are shortcut and its size is in KB instead of GB , which it originally had ! Recently there has been a lot of death around me. Since then every show that comes on tv has some to do with death in it or all the songs I hear have to do with death. A couple days a go I went out with my family and all of a sudden we drive by the cemetery my sisters friend was buried at then the next day we go to my brother football game and my dad goes a different way which happens to be pass the place his friend was killed at then one of his friends that was killed in a car accident on April the 28 and was buried at the same cemetery as my great grandma I keep seeing that 28 number everywhere. All of a sudden I was walking past my sisters room and she had her friends obituary hanging up and she died on the 29 of June in a car accident then last Saturday we go to b-more and while there we pass to cars with in loving memory banners on there car. When I'm out all I see is funeral homes and different things pertaining to death. What is wrong with me are the signs my time is coming I'm only 18 and this will not leave me alone I'm so scared I have been having panic and anxiety attacks back to back. for example i was just watching a wedding show and the couple met at a funeral im so scared somebody please help me this is taking over my life my left arm and hand has been numb and tingling for two weeks I had blood work done they said everything is normal now my chest and back are having muscle spasms or sharp pains what is going on? Minecraft controls messed up / not working!!?

About 2 weeks ago, my sister's Minecraft game on her computer was messing up. Whenever she tried to use WASD or open her inventory, it would just scroll to a random spot in the hot bar (1-9). When I try to change the controls in the options menu WASD shows up as a random number every time I try to change the key. I have found that many people are having the same problem on numerous sites (Google: Minecraft controls not working). I have tried to re-download the minecraft game (Launcher and Appdata folder). I have re-installed my keyboard drivers, and even went as far as re-installing my computers OS (wiping all data). The game still doesn't work. My sister's computer is running Windows XP on a 4 year old computer.

The download says "succesful", but when I log into Garry's Mod, the thing I downloaded doesn't appear. (for instance if I download a weapon, the weapon won't show up in the "weapons" in game file after downloading). Here's what I do: go to garrysmod.org, find a file to download, click download, click save, save to a folder I created called "Gmod Files", after downloading click open, file opens in winrar, click "extract files", extract to desktop. click "program files", "steam","steamapps","MYSTEAMNAME","garry… move extracted file from desktop to "addons" folder. Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong and why what I download won't show up in game.

Photoshop CS5/Quicktime issue?

I recently purchased the new Samsung QX-series computer with Windows 7. I installed Photoshop CS5, which worked fine, until I wanted to import video as frames. It asked me to install Quicktime 7.1 or higher, which I promptly did. When I reopened Photoshop, it said that they couldn't find the QTCF.dll file. I deleted the extraneous QTCF.dll file so that the only one remaining is the one under the Quicktime folder, but it's still giving me that error (QTCF.dll file is missing/ couldn't find entry point to QTCF.dll). Anyone know how I can fix this?

Steam version of oblivion not working?

So i bought it from steam because it was 66% off. It's the GOTY deluxe edition. I've had the game before but i lost the cd. It ran PERFECTLY on my pc on highest settings. NOTHING wrong with my system specs. Also i have updated my drivers. But every time i run the game, the launcher is fine and the first part of the intro is fine, but just when i get to the first actual loading screen just before the main menu, my screen goes black and i get a message saying: Oblivion has stopped working. Why does this happen? I've also tried running the .exe directly from the folder, both the launcher and the game itself. I've tried verifying the files using the option on steam. I have not modded it in any way. Please help me, i need something to keep me busy until skyrim is out (:

And I tried to edit the slide to turn off bar too, and it is blank as well...

That was an excellent observation and great research that you uncovered about the movie. After it came out, I did the same thing. Now, the reason so many people think it's real is because the actors themselves break the 4th wall, which is a big no-no in the film industry, and actually tell the audience that the film they are about to see is actual footage and is indeed all fact. Plus, when any movie has "actual footage" anyone is bound to believe it. And yes, all the stories about missing people is true but that doesn't necessarily mean alien abduction. I do know that there was a significance about the owl that the victims see, but from real reports, the victim doesn't see the owl until after abduction. If you want to see a movie inspired, not based, by true events I would highly recommend you watch Fire in the Sky or a couple of X- Files, which are inspired by real x-files. Hope this helped. Thumbsplus 8 no delete in slideshow?

I just installed/upgraded to Thumbsplus 8 (because this program has a sort by similarity feature) and while viewing my photo's through the slideshow feature, I used to be able to delete while viewing them in slideshow with TP7 but now I can't anyone else have this problem I've clicked the allow folder options (delete, copy, rename) I've tried setting it to give confirmation when deleting. I don't recall having any other options in TP7.

I did this the other day and got some cool results. So can anybody help me out? Some of my favorites include Pantera, Machine Head, DevilDriver, Fear Factory, Soulfly, Chimaira, Crowbar, Down, Hatebreed, Lazarus A.D., Slayer, Static-X, The Showdown, and Megadeth. And please, just metal. None of that "deathcore" or "metalcore" or anything like that. Also, I'm not a huge fan of death or black metal. There are a couple exceptions, like Obituary. But not many.

Sims 3 Custom content causes game crash. Help!?!?

So I've installed a bunch of player created custom content (not from EA) and everything seemed to work fine. I placed these windows on my house and everything kept going fine. The game had no problems with the windows when I first used them. So I saved and shutdown my computer and came back a few hours later. I continued work on my house, but when I got the camera in view of the windows, the game crashed. I know its the windows because when I saw them they looked very messed up. I was able to get back on and work on other areas of the house, but whenever I get in view of the windows the game crashes. I don't have time to delete them or anything, and I really can't just delete the lot or anything because I've already put so much time into this. If I delete the content out of the downloads folder will this get rid of the windows? Or will it mess up the game even more? What can I do to fix this?

I feel as if I am about to have a mental breakdown?

A friend of mine disappeared exactly a year ago today. We talked every single day for over a year and he disappeared. He had just moved to a different town. He had many names, none of which were real, but I knew him better than anyone. I've never been as close with anyone in my life. He disappeared and I find that I'm going crazy. I imagine he is still with me, that we are going out to dinner together, that we are chatting over brunch. I cannot handle not knowing. I have been going through obituaries from the past year looking to see if there are any young men who fit his description but to no avail. I don't know what to do with not knowing, how do you deal with that..?

Why didn't my smoke detectors go off?

I had just returned from a outing to find out that the whole house is full of smoke. Appartenly I had left the burner on under the pot of peach preserve that I was making earlier that day. A thick white smoke was bellowing from the pot. Took it out and put it out. But the house was so full of smoke, my eyes would burn everytime I went back in. Surprisingly none of the smoke detectors in the whole house had gone off ! I have at least 4 outside the kitche area (living room, foyer, up the staircase, and inside my office on first floor) all of them hardwired. All these areas were smokey, but no alarms went off. The one upstairs is from ADT and that should have caused ADT to call me about the smoke. The ones downstairs are different brand and relatively newer (2005). If there were only one smoke detector, I would suspect faulty detector, but 4. I am not even counting all the onesin bedrooms upstairs, which are battery operated. The bedrooms were smokey too but not as bad as downstairs. Could it be that ALL my detectors are bad? or are they not designed to detect smoke from burning sugar?!

I think a scroll at the bottom of the screen should display whether or not the candidate is telling the truth or not. Agreed: lie detectors aren't 100% accurate. But as a viewer and voter I'd like a 2nd opinion! How is a lie detector machine which produces "possible" inaccurate results any different than the opinionators on CNN, FOX, or MSNBC following the program? I'd prefer the lie detector. PLEASE READ THE FULL QUESTION BEFORE ANSWERING or I will mark your answer as abuse...Dont take the two points for granted..So it goes like this...I downloaded a torrent from utorrent and it contained Kaspersky Anti-virus 2011 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2011..I decided to install the anti-Virus first...I got KKE v0.534 with it along with the two keys...I installed the soft and of course there was a tutorial with it..It said that I should disable self Protection from settings which I did..It asked me to copy fltlib.dll and fltlib.ini files from the KKE folder..but it wont ..the computer says"MAKE SURE THE DISK IS NOT FULL OR WRITE-PROTECTED AND THAT THE FILE IS NOT CURRENTLY IN USE"..Now what should I do?i tried numerous things from encrypting files to hiding files but it wouldn't just budge up...Then I tried to copy some other files into the folder but again its still..I made sure that i wasnt using the anti virus by checking the taskbar and the Processes..Can it be that some other program might be using the folder..By general consensus I found that a file named "Abhelper.dll" wasnt moving through folders and wasnt deleting itself..i tried the command prompt and the notepad method but to no avail..I dont understand why this is happening..Sorry for my poor English..

Fell hit head and is now dizzy and hearing things need help?

About a week or so ago, my grandmother, 86 years old, fell off of a chair while trying to turn off a smoke detector, hitting the back of her head on the floor pretty hard. A few days later, while she was trying to sleep, she suddenly experienced severe dizziness and started hearing banging noises that only she could hear. She spent the entire night trying to fall asleep but she couldn't due to the loud noises. The next day we brought her to the hospital, where she stayed for two days. All they did was give her a blood test and then let her go. Now she continues to be dizzy and she is still hearing things. I don't know if it has anything to do with this, but a few months ago she couldn't sleep because she could hear music that no one else could hear. I gave her some ear drops and the singing stopped. I've looked everywhere but I haven't found anything at all that would help. This is really bad because she is going to be evaluated to see if she can renew her drivers license, and her high blood pressure may not allow her to get her license again, and this isn't helping her at all.

Recently there has been a lot of death around me. Since then every show that comes on tv has some to do with death in it or all the songs I hear have to do with death. A couple days a go I went out with my family and all of a sudden we drive by the cemetery my sisters friend was buried at then the next day we go to my brother football game and my dad goes a different way which happens to be pass the place his friend was killed at then one of his friends that was killed in a car accident on April the 28 and was buried at the same cemetery as my great grandma I keep seeing that 28 number everywhere. All of a sudden I was walking past my sisters room and she had her friends obituary hanging up and she died on the 29 of June in a car accident then last Saturday we go to b-more and while there we pass to cars with in loving memory banners on there car. When I'm out all I see is funeral homes and different things pertaining to death. What is wrong with me are the signs my time is coming I'm only 18 and this will not leave me alone I'm so scared I have been having panic and anxiety attacks back to back. for example i was just watching a wedding show and the couple met at a funeral im so scared somebody please help me this is taking over my life my left arm and hand has been numb and tingling for two weeks I had blood work done they said everything is normal now my chest and back are having muscle spasms or sharp pains what is going on?

I'm 15 right and I know that is very young still. But i appreciate old school metal from the 60s,70s,80s. The thing is with today's youth they like all the crap metal bands like Slipknot,Bring Me The Horizon,Static X,Suicide Silence,Marilyn Manson,Disturbed,Drowning Pool. I like decent metal bands like Black Sabbath,Iron Maiden,Witchfynde,Led Zeppelin,Venom,Saxon,Jerusalem,Diamond Head. But I also appreciate old school death metal bands like Death,Possessed,Master,Morbid Angel,Obituary,Deicide,Napalm Death,Cancer,Carcass,Autopsy and Massacre. The reason I appreciate death metal because it actually has talent in it because the guitar solos and riths are very hard and the vocals are not easy to do. Will titanium micro plates be an issue when passing through TSA screening?

In 2002, I had titanium micro plates attached to my skull to help keep it together. Since then, I have not had to pass through TSA screening at all, and will likely need to be traveling on either the AMTRAK or a commercial airline.
