Questions About my store security.....?

I have the infrared motion alarms placed 8 feet off the ground around the store. I have 5 still cameras covering the store. Can someone turn off the motion alarms if they were to cut the power to the whole store somehow? Is there an alternative power source i can use for the motion detectors?
