Downloaded an app for my android, how do I put it on my phone?

I downloaded an .apk file (robot unicorn attack) online from my computer, I moved it to a folder called robot unicorn attack on my phone using the usb thingy but it hasnt come up in my apps list. How do I put it on correctly and play it? Thanks in advance.
